Description
I am selling more BEATLES LPs from my collection. So, please check my other current and upcoming auctions.
In this auction:
· “RUBBER SOUL” by the Beatles
· This LP is Capitol Records T - 2442.
· This LP is a MONO (Monaural) Pressing which is designated by the letter “T” that precedes the catalog number on both the cover and the labels.
· This LP was issued December 8, 1965.
· This is guaranteed to be a 1st MONO PRESSING, because the 1st pressings omitted “THE BEATLES” on the labels. Only their names were printed. (The 2nd mono pressings inserted “THE BEATLES” between the LP title and the names of the group members.)
· According to Perry Cox, this Capitol-marked COVER, of cardboard construction with front cover slick overlapping the rear slick, is the correct cover to go with this 1965 pressing. This COVER was issued from Capitol Records’ Scranton pressing plant. This is based on the number “3” printed on the rear cover at lower right.
· The VINYL has the “?” in the trail-off wax. This is the symbol Capitol Records used to identify vinyl pressed at its Scranton Pressing Plant.
· THEREFORE, this cover and vinyl are correctly paired (as they were issued) from the same Capitol pressing plant.
· NOTE: Some sellers may intentionally or accidentally switch vinyl and covers in order to create an LP with a higher grade cover and vinyl, but NOT correctly matched to the same pressing plant. I don’t do that. This is the correct cover and vinyl for this pressing/issue.
· The COVER is graded VERY STRONG VG+ CONDITION. There is just very slight wear on the bottom left corner, very tiny pushes on the top right and bottom right corners, and very light wear and aging on the white areas on the reverse. (Check the images and you will see how nice this cover is!!)
· The VINYL is GRADED NICE VG+. The vinyl has lots of gloss and just a few very light surface hairlines/scuffs.
· This LP comes with an OLIVE-GREEN CAPITOL RECORDS INNER PAPER SLEEVE which is the correct sleeve for this Capitol vinyl issue.
A NICE COPY of this ORIGINAL 1st PRESSING CAPITOL 1965 BEATLES MONO LP to add to your vinyl collection!
