Description

The Beatles – Rubber Soul Mono -5/-5 B&Y UK LP PMC 1267 Label Both sides

Item: The Beatles – Rubber Soul Mono UK LP PMC 1267 1960's press with Black & Yellow labels. Mispressed with side 1 label on both sides making this a extremely rare pressing error which is almost never seen. When the album was first pressed in 1965 with the -1/-1 matrix the sound was considered too high so had to re-done again hence the -4/-4 matrix which is the most common pressing this is later -5/-5 mono matrix (pressed late 1969) which is considered to be of a high sound quality pressing. Don't miss this opportunity to buy this -5/-5 pressing which is not only in great condition but with the side 1 label mispress to both sides makes this a extremely rare pressing error which is hardly never seen.

Matrix Numbers: Side 1 XEX 579 -5

Stamper Codes: 2 RD

                        Side 2 XEX 580 -5

Stamper Codes: 3 PA

Record Weight: 147g

Sleeve: Garrod & Lofthouse laminated sleeve

Inner Sleeve: EMI artists advertising inner.

Labels: Black & Yellow Parlophone labels. There is no tax code to either side. Has side 1 label pressed on both sides making this a very rare mispress how did that pass quality control?

Detailed Descriptions

The Sleeve: EX- There is some wear to the side opening frayed a bit of the sleeve also there are about 6 creases to the front. The spine is clearly readable and there is no damage. There is a name written on the back otherwise is a very clean copy. There is a couple of creases to the top and bottom flipbacks. Very hard to find in such nice condition this as many of the sleeves tend to be very worn or dirty this is not.

Inner Sleeve: EX - Has a seam split to the side of the sleeve about 7cm otherwise virtually like new condition with no rips or tears

The Labels: VG+ Has lots of spindle wear otherwise no damage there is a some blue biro pen colouring in on the other label (only on the number 1's which would of been to identify which was side 2 as both sides display a side 1 label) and some smudging around the number 1's otherwise no other faults.

Record Visually Graded: EX- Has some light surface marks and only a few still retains a lovely sheen looks virtually like new.

Record Playback: EX+ Really strong sound and i don't think has had much use and plays quiet without hardly any surface noise. No skips or clicks.

Please note that the record has been professionally cleaned on a record cleaning machine with a non alcohol cleaning solution.

I use the following grading system:

M=Mint: The record/sleeve is brand new condition. Just like when first pressed and the record will have no deterioration in sound quality. All items including lyric sheet poster etc are in perfect condition.

NM=Near Mint: The record or sleeve may just marginally be off new condition and have the odd minor flaw.

EX=Excellent: The record shows signs of being played, but there hardly any lessening in sound quality. The cover might show signs of wear.

VG=Very Good: The record has been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality. Despite the odd occasional surface marks and the odd light scratch. The cover will shows signs of usage without any major defects.

G= Good: The record has been played numerous times and the sound quality has deteriorated and plays with distortion. The cover will have seam splits, scuffing of edges, discolouration and creases/ing.

F=Fair: The record has not been cared for properly and has loud surface noise but is still just playable. The sleeve will be torn, stained/defaced.

P=Poor: The record will not play properly due scratches and will have bad surface noise. The cover will be damaged and even have parts missing.

B=Bad: The record is unplayable possibly broken, which would only be considered as a collection filler.

I use a plus and minus signs +/-  to show if marginally better or worse condition.

Postage: UK/Europe = £8.15 Rest Of The World = £8.75

The item will be sent recorded delivery . I never send out any parcel I wouldn't be happy to receive myself! All records are removed from their sleeves and placed in a new plastic sealable sleeve for posting!

The item description is very detailed and I have listed the item to the best of my knowledge. Any Questions please ask.
