Description

An original copy of RS on UK Parlophone from 1966 Matrix 5/5. Some folk rate the 5/5 as the best for audio on RS. Stampers 1RL/2RL.  The vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover. We also have an original 60's inner sleeve too - the generic patent pending version.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of the light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. So many copies of RS look good to the eye - but seriously disappoint on playback. But I'm pleased to report this one of the better preserved copies I've got my hands on. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A very precise and impressive rendition throughout. Unusually clean for what was a very popular and heavily played title. Even those low-key fussy tracks like 'My Life' & 'Norwegian' & 'Michelle' are really clean. But precious little background at all throughout the LP. Highly recommended.
Cover (Vg+) In respectable condition with a few thumbnail creases over at the opening edge. The rear has avoided the worst of the ageing process - but do expect some evidence in places. All flipbacks are intact and secure. Edge wear is mostly slight, but there is a one inch wear-through in the middle of the top edge. I have tape repaired internally so it is merely cosmetic now. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. Bag present. No splits.
