Description

An original stereo copy of RS on the UK Parlophone label from summer 1969. Matrix 3/3.Stampers 2-RR/2-GT. Please note labels are consistent with a summer '69 copy as the label design is in flux. One side exhibits the 'Sold In The UK..' statement which is found on most 60's Beatles copies. But this statement was phased out in the summer and the label the other side holds the new version without the SIUK statement. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse stereo cover.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are practically silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Lovely clean player with even those low-key tracks like Michelle and 'Norwegian Wood' playing with a really nice and quiet background. Interference is pretty much non-existent. All I could detect were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments. It's a top-level performer and will thoroughly impress in all areas.
Cover (Vg) Clearly not in the same league as the vinyl, but still in respectable condition. Lovely clean and shiny front with absolutely no issues. The rear seems to have avoided most of the ageing process often found on these early 60's copies. But please note there is damage to two of the flipbacks over on the right hand side. Other than that nothing else that stands out. Edge wear is reasonably light and the text on the spine is still pretty much all still legible.
