Incredibly rare export club edition EX LIBRIS to Switzerland of The Beatles Rubber Soul pressed in Germany by Odeon Records. Original front laminated German printed cover with a regular catalog number SMO 84 066 and a non-altered original photo showing a loose thread on the right right shoulder of John's jacket which was airbrushed out on most covers in the UK. Unique yellow / black "CLUB-EDITION" SMO 984 066 Odeon label made in Germany exclusively for export and release in Switzerland by Grammoclub Ex Libris Club. Side 2 label has a rare misprint reading "I'm Looking Throug You" while the correct spelling is "I'm Looking Through You". Original Odeon Records paper die-cut inner sleeve native to this export edition having the other Odeon releases on both sides. Matrix numbers: Side-1 - YEX 178 - 2; Side-2 - YEX 179 - 1. This copy is indeed one of the rarest Beatles collectible items which is in a very nice condition. I grade the cover as Excellent Minus due to it having light creases and bending to the top left and bottom right corners along with a light 0.75' tear at the center of the mouth on both sides. The back cover has some light discoloration and foxing along the spine. The corners have some light wear and scuffing and the edges have some light barely noticeable laminate micro creases. The original Odeon inner sleeve is in Excellent Minus condition with a couple of light edge splits and a light tear at the die-cut. The yellow Odeon Records labels are in pristine Mint condition without having any spindle marks. I grade Side 1 of the glossy vinyl visually as Very Good Plus and Side 2 as Excellent Minus with it having some light non-feelable hairlines and scuffs from the original inner sleeve which don't affect the audio in any way. Audio - The vinyl sounds amazing without any skips, pops or ticks barely having any background noise which is most likely just the static and will go away completely if the vinyl is professionally cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine.
