Description
The Beatles “Rubber Soul” LP
UK Parlophone PCS 3075, 1965.
1st press Stereo LP.
Matrix: Side 1: YEX 178-3 / Side 2: YEX 179-3
Label has “Grammophone” & “Sold In the UK” text on it.
Back Cover shows that it is made by “Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd.”
Comes with plain inner sleeve. It is definitely an old sleeve, but it does not match the ones listed for this LP in the Record Collector price guide that I have.
Visual Grade
Front Cover: has price sticker at top right, and some wrinkling along the side, VG.
Back Cover: has some darkening along where the flipback sleeve is glued together, VG.
Label: Side 1: VG, Side 2: VG+.
Playing Surface: Side 1 is VG+, Side 2 is VG-.
Side 2 has a feelable mark through the 2nd half of track 5, “Wait”.
Play Grade
Side 1:
Track 1, 2: VG++
Track 3: VG due to some crackle in middle of the song.
Track 4, 5, 6: VG+.
Track 7: VG-
Side 2:
Track 1, 2, 3: VG+
Track 4: VG- due to some pops at the end of the song.
Track 5: VG-, as song pops throughout.
Track 6, 7: VG+
Additional Information
Record has been cleaned and play graded / visually graded under a bright bulb.
Record will be shipped in new cardboard mailer with cardboard inserts.
