The Beatles: Rubber Soul 1st Mono Press ‘Loud Cut' (original Emitex inner). VG+ Audio. New Roman Font.
This is the original first press ‘loud cut’ edition of this truly seminal album, in the original tracing-paper lined Emitex inner sleeve, in a front laminated flip-back Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve, with the much rarer ‘Times New Roman’ font.

Side 1: YEX 579-1
Mother: 2
Stamper: LH
Side 2: YEX 580-1

Vinyl description: (Visual) VG
Age related ware to the vinyl (both sides), with some light hairlines/marks/scratches, though a slightly thicker scuff across track 4, side 1, there is nothing heavy or feelable.
Playback:
ABSOLUTELY NO SKIPS, JUMPS OR STICKING.
Light surface noise on side 1 intro. Likewise, with occasional light clicks/crackle, though very little, throughout, with a couple of ‘pops’ on on Michelle.
Side 2 much like side 1, with a couple of light pops on track 5.
Most playback is clean on both sides, and quiet between tracks, other than occasional light pops.
Absolutely no skips or jumps throughout.
Labels: VG+
These are the Variation B labels, with Times New Roman font. Most Rubber Soul pressings with this font, were crossover matrixes, though this copy has ‘loud cut’ matrixes to both sides, and is the rarer of the two variants.
Side 1, though with a sticker on it (possibly removable with care) is clean, no graffiti, some/little spindle ware, with KT tax code.
Side 2 as above, (no tax code).
The labels would be graded Excellent if not for side 1 sticker.
Sleeve. Minimum VG+/Ex.
The front laminated G&L flip-back sleeve is minimum VG+, possibly excellent.
Signs of minor creasing, and very light ringing/fixing to front.
The rear is excellent, beautifully clean, with some very small lifting to the flip-back top left. Very little obvious signs of ware, other than some age related ‘yellowing’ to opening, as you’d expect.
The spine is strong, clean and legible, with barely a mark/crease.
Emitex Inner: Ex
Tracing paper lined original Emitex inner is in VG+/Ex condition, with no splits or tares. Does have some creasing/spotting etc, as you’d expect given it’s age.
I’d describe the overall condition of the item as VG+ minimum. I do though tend to be quite conservative in my descriptions, and would rather under play the condition, than leave buyers disappointed.
