First press Stereo Matrix numbers YEX 178-2 and YEX 179-2 KT tax code embossed on side 1 label Side 1 stampers : 1 at 9 O'clock and T at 3 O'clock Side 2 stampers : 3 at 9 O'clock and GG at 3 O'clock "The Gramophone Co Ltd" rim text, and "Sold in UK subject to ...." on the labels
Previous owners name written on both labels and on the rear of the sleeve
Visually there are lots of scuffs and light scratches (especially on side 2) and a few small but feelable scratches on both sides. However this old heavyweight vinyl is very forgiving and plays better than it looks. Side 1 plays with minimal background and a few clicks (on tracks 3 and 4) caused by a few small but feelable marks Side 2 plays slightly worse than side 1, but does have lots of scuffs and light scratches, again with a few clicks caused by a few feelable scratches. Overall I have graded this as Good Plus, but in places (particularly side 1) it plays excellent.
The front laminated G&L picture sleeve is in Good condition with some creasing to the edges and a large tear on the bottom right seam at the opening edge (see pictures). The spine is slightly flattened and worn but is still fully legible - See Pictures. The unlaminated rear has browned with age and handling and has a previous owners name written in the top right corner.
