Description
REVOLVER UK STEREO 1ST PRESSING, 1ST VARIANT, 1ST MOTHER STAMPER (check pics with the number 1 on the left side of both labels). WOW!!!!
THE RAREST OF ALL BEATLES TITLES SLEEVE VARIANT, AN ERNEST J. DAY IN STEREO, COMMON IN MONO BUT THIS IS THE FIRST I EVER SAW IN STEREO !!
1st Press Variation A. This would have been the very early release of this album, few were released before Variation B which changed "DR." to "DOCTOR" on the back cover. Side A has a raised letters KT tax code. This record was probably among the very first batch EMI dispatched to the stores, a finding!
Stampers from the first mother, almost impossible to find:
MATRIX : -1 -1
Matrix / Runout (Runout A, variation 2): YEX 605-1 OP 1 Matrix / Runout (Runout B, variation 2): YEX 606-1 RH 1
COVER: An excellent example of this 1966 1st issue Ernest J. Day cover in excellent condition. There is some slight ageing/yellowing plus some wear to the back panel which prevents a near MINT grading. The laminate retains it’s original shop fresh high gloss sheen. There are no laminate bends or ‘thumbnail’ just very few tiny creases but all in all, a great example of this fantastic album. All flipbacks are intact. There is no writing or personalization to any part of the cover. The spine is uncrushed with the writing fully legible. Now extremely tough to find in this condition. LABELS: Some spindle marks, but very clean and glossy VINYL: Looks near MINT with only very few scuffs and hairlines mainly due to the removing of the record from the sleeve. AUDIO: Record plays almost flawlessly, with the exception of some ticks and pops on ''I'm Only Sleeping'' and ''For No One'', very quiet on passages and occasional noise, which prevents a near MINT grade for both sides but all the sheen of the vinyl is there, dynamics are incredible. Since it was stamped from the first mother, quality is even better than later stampers which tend to be more worn out since this is a physical process.
This is a one in a lifetime opportunity, I never saw this record at eBay in this condition and with this first cover variant!
