Description

A 2nd press of Revolver on UK Parlophone from 1966. Matrix 2/2. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original cover printed by Ernest J Day and also included is the original patent white inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex+) Shiny like new and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection we could make out a number of very light superficial marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity and barely any interference at all. I can tell you finding an original Revolver that plays well all the way through is not an easy task. This LP includes the tracks Submarine, Your Bird, Eleanor etc.. and these are all low-key affairs and most copies reveal some degree of background. This is definitely one of the cleanest and well preserved I've had the pleasure to play in quite some time. We didn't detect more than a couple of crackles in one or two places [literally] the whole way through. You would really have to go some to beat this copy.
Cover (Ex) Has clearly been looked after too - just look at that front..beautifully white. Front and back are in superb condition with just a couple of creases evident. Edge wear is very light and there are no marks or hidden tears. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains great rigidity. Again, a really difficult one to better particularly with it being the E J Day version.
Inner (Vg+) No splits, but a bit aged.
