I bought this as part of a collection from an old friend of mine. He purchased the albums from new and has always carefully stored and cared for his records. He bought the discs to play them, so there is evidence that they have been played but they are still well preserved examples of rare and collectable LP's.

According to the The Beatles Collection website:
This variation has Times New Roman font. This label exhibits a new layout design most notably with side one having both “Taxman” and “Eleanor Rigby” on the first line. Yet it also displays the incorrect Dr. Robert spelling on side 2. The credits pattern of “Song (Composer)-Lead Singer” has also now switched to “Song-Lead Singer (Composer)”. This probably appeared in late 1966.

This vinyl was pressed on the EMI on old machines press. IT’S NOT CBS PRESSING as many people think! THIS IS EMI PRESSING! To date only three Beatles albums have been found in this variation and they’re A Hard Day’s Night, Rubber Soul and Revolver.

Please note that I have tried to identify any possible minor shortcomings on the photographs. Along with the following details, I have tried to provide sufficient information for you to make an informed choice regarding bidding.

The Sleeve: The photographs highlight the WORSE aspects of the sleeve. It is remarkably well preserved with no major flaws and must rank as close to excellent.

The Labels: Side one has "KT" tax code embossed around the spindle hole. There are a few spider trails but no evidence of undue wear, in addition side two has a small lighter patch (a bit like a finger mark) at the 3 o'clock position.

The Record: Side one has a number of visiible surface scuffs that do not seem to impact on play. There are no obvious scratches or significant visual defects. Playback is strong with occasional minor background noise. Side two has some superficial minor scuffs that do not seem to have any impact on playback. The sound is enjoyable with only minor ocassional background noise. A conservative grade would be VG+.

The inner sleeve is not (I think) original.

How I pack:

I use top quality cruciform (pizza box style) mailers along with sheets of highest quality card stiffeners. The disc will be removed from the sleeve and if the inner sleeve is non-generic, I will put the LP in a new generic sleeve to avoid damaging the original. Box sets will be packed in boxes and protected with bubble wrap. I have comprehensive a comprehensive range of packing materials at my disposal, so rest assured, your order should arrive undamaged.

It was 1960: I was eight. My cousin joined the Air Force and gave me his collection of 45’s: a great selection including Elvis and Buddy Holly. Usurping the family Dansette, I became well and truly hooked. By 1964/5 I was also seeing some of my favourite artist live. At the age of 11 I joined by first band playing music on and off over the subsequent years that also gave me experience of working in recording studios. Music is in my blood.
