Title: Revolver.

It may sound odd to say I'm not a record collector, given that I have a least 2 to 300 records. But when it comes to the various editions and pressings I'm a self confessed duffer. I usually end up quickly searching the internet so that I can list an album with the correct details. With this copy, I've drawn a bit of a blank, regarding the fine details as I couldn't find a copy with the matrix numbers 605-1 coupled with 606-2 and a two boxed EMI logo in the flipback sleeve from my usual sources. So my apologies for this. Anyway, an excellent sounding and excellent looking copy of this ground breaking album.

The Garrod & Lofthouse flip backed, pinched spine sleeve is in near mint condition.

Front
Excellent - a very small amount of discolouration along the opening edge and the laminate along the same edge has shrunk back by about 2mm.

Back
Excellent/ Nr mint

Opening Edge:
Slight discolouration but still sharp.

Spine:
Excellent near mint with pinched edges.

Edges:
No rubbing or edge wear.

Inner Sleeve:
EMI generic printed promotional sleeve has some minor discolouration but no rips, splits or writing.

Comments: An excellent sleeve that defies its vintage. Not quite mint, but not too far off.

Record:

The disc is not warped in any way. The disc still retains its original new sheen and has no obvious defects.

Side one:
Visually: The are two very small scuffs
Audio: Excellent there are three or four light "ticks" on the dead wax between tracks.
Side two:
Visually: Excellent/Nr Mint
Audio: Excellent/Nr Mint
Labels
The labels have the text beginning "The Gramophone Co Ltd" around the edge and two boxed EMI logo's.

Side one: Nr Excellent just some barely visible spider trails
Side two: As above

Visually: the vinyl maintains its original sheen with only two minor visible scuffs on side one, side two is near mint.
Play testing: the record delivers pure analogue vinyl sound with just a handful of very light ticks to side one. Side two is mint.

How I pack:

I use top quality cruciform (pizza box style) mailers along with sheets of highest quality card stiffeners. The disc will be removed from the sleeve and if the inner sleeve is non-generic, I will put the LP in a new generic sleeve to avoid damaging the original. Box sets will be packed in boxes and protected with bubble wrap. I have comprehensive a comprehensive range of packing materials at my disposal, so rest assured, your order should arrive undamaged.

A bit about me:

It was 1960: I was eight. My cousin joined the Air Force and gave me his collection of 45’s: a great selection including Elvis and Buddy Holly. Usurping the family Dansette, I became well and truly hooked. By 1964/5 I was also seeing some of my favourite artist live. At the age of 11 I joined by first band playing music on and off over the subsequent years that also gave me experience of working in recording studios. Music is in my blood.
