Description

An original 1st issue of Revolver on the Parlophone label. Matrix 2/3. As you all know 1st press was the TNK 1/1 copy which was relatively short lived. The next copies available whilst the album charted are the ones mentioning the abbreviated 'DR.Robert' track on the label. Lennon famously got involved and asked for it to be corrected to 'DOCTOR' shortly afterwards. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Ernest J Day cover - thought to have been the earliest covers printed. Also present is the original generic white patent applied for inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) A superb copy and has clearly only seen the lightest of use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. A pretty much faultless rendition and that is not always an easy find with Revolver. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A truly remarkable rendition and I can't remember one quite this impressive for a while. A couple of crackles in a couple of moments [literally] - that's all we could detect. If you're looking for a very sweet clean copy then do give this copy serious consideration. They certainly don't surface sounding any better than this copy that's for certain.
Cover (Ex) In great condition with that iconic front image looking nice and white - just a touch of ageing in one or two isolated spots. There's very little creasing at all and no visible marks - nice! The rear is in lovely condition with just a couple of light creases. All flipbacks are undamaged and secure. Edge wear is very light and the spine is entirely intact [just a couple of minute marks]. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and lies totally flat. One of the best specimens I've seen in quite some time.
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing. No splits or markings.
