Description

An original 1st stereo press of Revolver from 1966 on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1/1. Many copies are touted as being 1st pressing, but to be a true early copy the labels must still show the track Dr.Robert as abbreviated. At release Lennon stepped in and asked for the track not to be abbreviated, and henceforth, copies from then on wards would mention the track as 'Doctor'. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original 'patent applied for' inner sleeve and original  'stereo' flipback cover. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+) In very nice condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a VERYGOOD+ level of playback with one deviation. Playback is decent for the most part with only some low-level static surfacing here and there [not all that noticeable]. The only track where I detected elevated static was in 'Here There And Everywhere'. There's more than you'd like on this track, but it's not what I'd describe as invasive. This track nearly always presents some background - and is hard to find playing clean anyway. Overall a very decent and enjoyable rendition of this true stereo 1st.
Cover (Vg+) In very nice condition, but is exhibiting light ageing across the front. Front and back are relatively clean and not exhibiting anything unsightly. Flipbacks are all intact and secure. Edge wear is light and the spine 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) A bit stained and a couple of edge splits have been taped up.
