Description
Welcome to my set of auctions for BEATLES LPs. All (except one) start at 99p with no reserve.
This is a VERY SPECIAL record with some outstanding and unique characteristics. IMPOSSIBLE to find in any other similar REVOLVER LP!
The BEATLES REVOLVER PMC 7009
Excellent MONO copy with the withdrawn XEX 606-1 mix of ‘Tomorrow Never Knows’ with ULTRA RARE ridged Parlophone label and EXTRA DOT on side 1 label! SOLD IN.U.K.
Truly EXCELLENT vinyl and audio with a smart, well looked after COVER and original white inner bag.
Side 1: XEX 605-2 (1 AO) Side 2: XEX 606-1 (1 AT)
Both labels, especially side 2, exhibit a RIDGE about 1cm from the edge, unlike typical EMI labels of the time, either pressed on a different type of machine or at another plant I do not know the details. In any case, extremely rare and very few see the light of day.
Side 1 label has minor spindle markings and is very clean. The label on side 2 has a slight scratch, about 2cm long, across the centre, with a few minor spindle marks. KT is embossed on this side. Side 1 has the aforementioned TRIPLE DOT across the centre!
The vinyl on both sides has been well preserved. Very feint/minor surface scratches and on playback there were literally 3 or 4 minor clicks audible on each side during my careful audio soundcheck. This is a superb EXCELLENT PLUS audio copy.
The GARROD & LOFTHOUSE tri-flipback cover is a true EXCELLENT example. Fairly white with minor laminate creasing and good, strong corners and spine. There is slight trace of a pen mark on the top flipback at the right edge but it is hardly noticeable. There is also a small rub mark just where the side 1 tracklist is in the top left hand corner but both of these are minor flaws.
The original 1966 ‘Patents Applied For’…. “Made In Great Britain’ white inner bag has also survived the years well! This very fragile bag has spilt along the bottom seam about 4 cm but the sides are intact. It has no writing or markings on it either.
Possibly a UNIQUE copy of REVOLVER on E Bay at the moment or at any time!
