Description
The BEATLES REVOLVER Parlophone PMC 7009
Original UK MONO copy from 1966
Side 1: XEX 605-2
Side 2: XEX 606-2 KT embossed on side 2 label
Second pressing with DR. ROBERT on side 2 label (corrected title should be ‘Doctor Robert’)
VINYL: Side 1 has 2 visual scratches which are clearly visible at the end of track 1 and beginning of track 2. On playback there are some loud clicks at the end of ‘Taxman’ and beginning of ‘Eleanor Rigby’ lasting about 2 to 3 minutes in all. The rest of the audio is fine with occasional and minor clicks. Side 2 looks very clear and clean and plays as excellent audio with very occasional background clicks. Both labels are very clean with minimal spindle trails. Despite the audible scratches on side 1 you can still play this LOUD (as I did!) and enjoy the great mono mix from 1966!
The Garrod & Lofthouse tri-flipback COVER has some age discolouration and edge wear where the record goes in. Overall it’s a VG+ example with a clear, proud spine and good, strong flipbacks. No writing or stickers and not bad for nearly 50 years old.
The record comes with a plain white inner bag, (Made in Great Britain) very fragile condition with seam splits on both sides. Still usable with care.
