THE BEATLES: ‘REVOLVER’ – AN ORIGINAL AND SUPERB 1966 UK BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE LABEL MONO VINYL LP – PMC 7009.
The Beatles ‘Revolver’ album - considered one of most Iconic and collectible Albums of the 20th Century - was released by Parlophone UK on August 5th 1966.
Album Description/Condition:
This original 1966 UK Parlophone **mono** Vinyl LP is on the traditional Black and Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim, with ‘Sold in UK…..’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ label text.
Both record labels are in superb Excellent condition, undamaged, bright and clean record labels, with no discolouration or fading to any of the printed text, and nothing more than a few light centre spindle lines on each label, this is the full **DOCTOR ROBERT** song title record label variant. There are two versions of this song title, the other one is with the abbreviated **DR ROBERT**
Side 1 matrix: XEX 605-2 and Side 2 XEX 606-2.
Side 1 stampers: 5, 2, 12, RTA and Side 2: 5 RHT.
Ther is a KT Tax Code visible at the centre of the side 1 record label.
Both sides of the heavyweight vinyl surfaces are in Excellent Plus condition, super clean and well cared for vinyl surfaces, just a couple of light surface hairlines, there are NO deep scratches or scuffs visible.
Audio Quality:
All tracks play with a superb and powerful mono sound quality, NO clicks, NO skips or pops, just very, very mild background crackle on a few tracks, otherwise a great listening experience.
The album comes in its original white ‘Made in Great Britain’ Inner Bag, which is in undamaged Excellent Plus condition, NO seam splits, and just light creasing.
…And is housed in it’s front laminated 3 flipback Garrod & Lofthouse picture sleeve, which is in superb condition, printed ‘mono’ to the top right hand corner of the front of the sleeve, and with three flip backs to the reverse.
This superb sleeve is in Excellent Plus condition, the Laminated front panel still retains its beautiful gloss shine, with just a hint of record storage, the reverse panel of the sleeve is in undamaged condition, showing a clean back panel, all three flipbacks are undamaged, the spine edge is undamaged and clearly printed ‘Revolver-The Beatles’
