Description

The Beatles "Revolver" 1st UK issue, in stereo, on Parlophone PCS 7009. Regarded by many as their finest album and one of the top 10 albums of all time.

The Garrod & Lofthouse flipback sleeve is extremely clean with just light scuffing along the opening edge and a small dirt line along the right flipback.  There is no writing on either the sleeve or the labels. (Please refer to my photographs).

The labels have the "All rights of the manufacturer" message starting with "The Gramophone Co Ltd" and the "Sold in UK" statement. The credit to track 4 on side two is written as "Doctor Robert" on the label, whilst it appears, incorrectly, as "Dr Robert" on the sleeve.

There are no notable surface marks on side one of the vinyl, with a couple of light ones on side two. Side one plays as an undisputable excellent. There a a few and very occasional distant light 'clicks' on playing through side two, but these do not detract from the audio quality of this album. There is obviously no sticking or jumping of the stylus. I believe that most dealers would grade the overall audio standard as excellent. The matrix and stampers are YEX605-1 and 3 HO and YEX606-1 and 2 PG on sides one and two respectively.

Logically this should not be rare record - it sold remarkably well. But it is very hard to find an excellent playable copy nowadays. You can only presume that copies are in collections and going to stay there.

I am a collector and not a dealer. Current circumstances force me to break up my collection. Those of you who have previously bought from me will know that I try to be as honest as I can with my descriptions. Usually to a point of being over critical. I would ask those of you who have not bought from me to kindly check out my feedback from previous buyers.

Standard postage and packing (uninsured) within the United Kingdom will be charged at £2.25. If you prefer recorded delivery (and I would recommend this at the very least) will be £3.00. For bidders within the EU the standard (uninsured) postage will be £4.00. For succesful bidders outside of the EU the standard (uninsured) charge will be £6.50. If you require postal insurance kindly contact me for the applicable cost prior to making any payment. I cannot accept any liability for the loss or damage of any uninsured item in the mail.

Please note - I require payment for this item within 7 DAYS after the auction closes. Will any prospective bidders who have a feedback rating of under five, or who have negative feedback within the last six months kindly contact me prior to making a bid. Otherwise I may have to cancel your bid(s). I am sorry about this but I am sure that genuine bidders will understand.

Thank you for looking - and GOOD LUCK.
