Description
Classic LPs is proud to offer for sale a fine original UK copy of the Beatles' first album on the black and gold Parlophone label.
This is the first pressing of PMC 1202, in mono, from 1963 (please see pics). Please see further down the description for publishing/printing/matrix no. details of this pressing.
It is in superb condition:
VINYL is EX+ with occasional light surface marks and no scratches or significant marks.
LABELS are EX+, almost entirely blemish-free.
SLEEVE is EX+, with near-perfect laminate lustre, all spines perfectly in tact, and no significant creasing/discolouring. Approx. one inch of the rear laminate flipback has worn towards the top right but this is insignificant. There is a light biro mark of approx one-inch towards the rear bottom but this is insignificant.
INNER SLEEVE is EX+, the original polythene-lined "Use Emitex" diecut sleeve, with no major discolouring.
Publishing details, etc:
Matrix no.s: XEX 421 1N/XEX 422 1N.
Label text includes "The Parlophone Co. Ltd" but has no reference to "Sold In UK..." (as per later pressings).
Credits "Dick James Mus. Co." publishing for Please Please Me, I Saw Her Standing There, Misery, Do You Want To Know A Secret & There's A Place.
