THE BEATLES - 'PLEASE, PLEASE ME'
This scarce UK STEREO pressing dates from 1964 on the 4th variation of the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3042
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK...' text & 'The Parlophone Co...' worded rims
An 'MT' purchase tax code is visible around the side 1 centre hole
Earliest/1st press matrix numbers: YEX 94-1 & YEX 95-1
Stamper codes: 1/RR & 1/GL
Disc weight: 167g
Housed in a front laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with a 'mid-sized' front stereo indicator

A bright, unblemished set with just a small handful of light spindle trails around each unworn centre hole
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Exceptionally clean & unworn playing surfaces which retain all of their factory deep-gloss shine, with no groove-whitening from overplay or poor storage. Both sides are free from any significant marks or wear in strong daylight with just some harmless wispy paper hairlines visible upon close inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
This hard-to-find pressing has received only a few careful plays on quality equipment and as a result the sound quality is flawless and wonderful throughout. My single careful playcheck found absolutely no evidence of any groove/playwear or background interference. The only audible distraction which presented itself during my playcheck were 3 light ticks in the band between tracks 3 & 4 on side 1. This is a tough pressing to find, let alone a better one
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A fine example of this rare cover which retains a totally unscratched front panel laminate where the only sign of wear is a single 'thumbnail' wrinkle, located on John's right arm
All corners are free from any heavy bumps or bruising and aside from a few tiny 'pushes', both opening edges are unworn. The exposed rear panel is clean, white & unblemished. There is slight discolouration to the upper & lower flipbacks but all are fully intact
Both seams are smooth and unstressed and the spine is clean, fully worded & unworn
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT +
