THE BEATLES - 'PLEASE, PLEASE ME'
This outstanding UK STEREO pressing dates from late-spring 1963 on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3042
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK...' text but have 'The Parlophone Co...' worded rims.
An 'MT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the side 2 label.
Matrix numbers: YEX 94-1 & YEX 95-1
Stamper codes: 1/P & 1/G
Unusually for this label design, side 2 carries the earliest possible stamper code normally only found on gold label copies.
Vinyl weight: 168g
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Ernest J. Day' printed cover, complete with original poly-lined inner-sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT +
Both are bright & clean with a small handful of faint spindle trails around each centre hole. There is also a small bubble in the paper in the 9 o'clock position on label 1.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Exceptionally clean & unworn playing surfaces which retain all of their deep-gloss shine and display no noticeable surface marks in strong daylight. Closer examination beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveal little more than some faint wispy paper hairlines consistent with inner-sleeve removal.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
This wonderful sounding copy has received very little play and my play-check found no evidence of any groove/playwear only any track or in either channel. Neither were there any clicks, pops or other such distractions. In fact, apart from a touch of regular low-level vinyl background between tracks, it is flawless.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A remarkable example of this fragile, easily worn cover which has been carefully stored in a non-smoking home these past 52 years.
The high-gloss front panel bears just the lightest touch of storage but is free from any creasing or 'thumbnail' wrinkles.
Unusually for this cover, all corners are in great shape, with just very slight shelfwear to their tips but certainly no heavy bumps or bruising. Both opening edges are clean & unworn.
The easily blemished rear panel is clean & white with no foxing, writing or missing paper.
All the delicate flipbacks are in-place and both seams and the spine are smooth, unstressed & unworn.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT +
Clean & unyellowed with a few gentle storage wrinkles only.
