Description

The Beatles: Please Please Me (UK 1963 Repress Vinyl PMC 1202) - P/VG+
Thanks for looking.
I'm selling this for a friend's parents who owned this from new. It's been stored dry, in the dark for a few decades.
I have cleaned it twice with a KAIU kit - carbon brush, isopropyl alcohol + velvet brush + microfiber cloth.
I have matched this release on Discogs :-
https://www.discogs.com/release/8257075-The-Beatles-Please-Please-Me
I used the Discogs/Goldmine Standard to the best of my ability to grade the vinyl and sleeve.
The vinyl is flat and heavy. It seems that 180g+ vinyl was more common back then - it's very chunky and solid.
I have play-tested the whole album and Side 1 plays without jumping, but the scratch and other surface noise cause the effect you would expect upon the audio. Track 7 isn't really affected by the scratch and plays decently.
Side 2 is pretty clean and plays right through with only a little surface noise between tracks and no skips or jumps. I couldn't detect much surface noise during the music.
Despite the scratch, I have listed this for sale because I realise that someone may want it for the sleeve - which might be better than one they own - or maybe to use it for wall art.
Side 2 plays ok so this might be worth having if someone already has a copy with a scratch on Side 2!
I place the album in a clear plastic sleeve then a LIL Packaging strong cardboard mailer.
Mailing will be Royal Mail 2nd Class.
Please inspect the photos carefully to satisfy yourself about condition before bidding and please feel free to contact me with any questions.
Thank you.
