Description
The Beatles - Please Please Me UK 1963 Parlophone 4th Mono Pressing LP.
Black label with yellow Parlophone label and silver print.
You can tell it's a first pressing by the fact that there is a Parlophone and Co. Label on the perimeter print (rim) instead of Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd found in later pressings. The Parlophone and Co. label on the rim was only used in early pressing (Mono 1-5).
Additionally the Matrix numbers are XEX 421-1N (side 1) / XEX 422-1N (side 2). These numbers are only present in pressings 1 to 9.
Also it says "first published in 1963" on the print (below where it says side 1 and 2). This addition was only introduced in the 4th and 5th pressings.
Fifth pressings with the same label in MONO surround as opposed to STEREO do not exist making this a genuine 4th press.
The outer sleeve is in good condition especially considering it's 60 years old with no tears. There is a stain on the back cover which is shown in the photos.
The inner sleeve is in fair condition. It has a tear along the left side. The severity of this tear is depicted in the photos.
The Vinyl itself is in great condition with no skipping or clicking during tracks and only light pops and clicks between tracks. You can listen to the record by following the links below.
Comes with a outer sleeve liner.
