THE BEATLES - 'PLEASE, PLEASE ME'/'ASK ME WHY'
This EXCELLENT UK 1st pressing dates from initial January 1963 release on the red & silver Parlophone label: 45-R 4983
Both labels include the 'Made In Gt. Britain' text
A genuine Factory Sample sticker is adhered to the 'Please, Please Me' label
An 'MT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the 'Please, Please Me' label, with 'MPT' in both run-outs
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 17217-1N & 7XCE 17218-1N
Stamper codes: 1/L & 2/GG
Housed within an original 'coloured diamonds' Parlophone company sleeve

An unblemished set with just a touch of wear to the 'Ask Me Why' centre hole, but no writing or missing paper anywhere.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces bearing 2/3 light surface marks on the 'Please, Please Me' side, but nothing I would call a scratch.
Sound Quality: VERY GOOD +
The clarity and power of this 45 mix is always a pleasure to hear. 'Please, Please Me' plays with a hint of background in the breaks but is a little more pronounced on the delicate 'Ask Me Why'. There are no clicks, jumps or any other major faults either side.
Cover: VERY GOOD
