Description
For auction is a super condition copy of The Beatles first album - Please Please Me in the very rare 3rd U.K. Stereo issue (version 2) PCS 3042.
These Third issue copies are identified by the new Black and Yellow labels, but without the ‘Recording First Published’ text of the Fourth issue. This is the version 2 without the extra unneeded’33 1/3’. Records show that these were fewer in number than the legendary first and second Black and Gold label copies.
Original Ernest J Day sleeve in super condition with no issues apart from very minor laminate creasing. Front and rear panels clean with no tears or writing. Spine fully intact and readable.
Original use Emitex inner sleeve in excellent condition.
Record labels - Ex for side 1 and VG+ for side 2.

Side 1 is visually and sonically excellent. Hardly a mark. Plays through with only very occasional light crackles mainly between tracks. Superb playback.
Side 2 is visually and sonically a conservative VG+, with a few more crackles .
Definitely no sticks skips or jumps or clicks.
All this without having had a proper clean.Record lays perfectly flat and weighs 164g.
