Description

The Beatles - "Please Please Me"

Respectable copy of a -1N/-1N Press

Cover: G+

Vinyl: G+/VG-

Notes: A copy which has been used but, nevertheless, remains in reasonable condition given its age. Cover has some shelf wear around the edges and mild discolouration to the back. Some lifting to the flipback in one area, but okay for now. Small name written to the back, and initials inside the Parlophone logo on the labels (see photos). Scuffs to top of the spine, but text remains fully legible. Non-original inner sleeve but I will try to replace it with something similar if I can. Proper 'Angus McBean' Mono sleeve, with laminate holding fairly well. The Vinyl, in addition to the common 'sleeve-removal' hairlines, has a few marks here and there - some of which are more visibly striking than others. There are also a few long wispy scuffs seen when held under bright light. Overall, however, there is nothing that should cause considerable audio interference besides a click or pop. But please note that I have graded it G+ for a reason; there will be a number of marks to the disc visible. With all this being said, I have given this item a full play test (start to finish) and I can say that the audio is still very enjoyable with only light background crackle throughout, most noted in the quieter passages and higher frequencies. However, the instruments and vocals pierce through this making it still a decent listen. There were no skips or sticks. A very reasonable listen which, I suspect, will be among the best of the sub £30 -1N/-1N pressings on sale (if there are any - cheapest I can see on eBay is £30 + Postage).

Please see my other items: everything I list will be the cheapest on eBay by at least 10% (for it's relative grade and press) at the time of me listing it.

Plenty of highly desirable albums (only the best pressings, titles & genres) being listed constantly, all at undercutting prices (No exaggeration - I can assure you!)

This current style is the fastest way for me to list, but I am more than happy to provide finer details if required (about specific press, matrix etc.): simply drop me a message and I will get back to you within 24 Hours.

Item will be shipped using quality materials, and I always endeavour to dispatch it quickly once payment received.

Thank you, and good luck to all bidders!

RECORD COLLECTOR'S GRADING SYSTEM

Mint

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

Fair

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Please refer to grading system provided, as this should allow you to form a good idea about the condition of the item. Please allow some room for manoeuvre as grading can sometimes be subjective - although I will always try to lean towards conservative gradings.
