The Beatles - Please Please Me. UK 6th Pressing *Mono EMI One Box* Pressing with Adverts Inner. EX/EX/EX
First some background to this record.
This is without doubt the rarest Please Please Me Mono pressing (including both Black and Gold pressings). In 1969 mono was almost extinct and Stereo would obviously be the primary format into the 1970’s and up to the present day. Exact numbers of these presses vary but reliable sources estimate as few as between 300 - 600 were ever pressed.
Only 3 titles were released in mono with the One Box label, Sgt Pepper (see my other listing), Help! And Please Please Me and this is by far the rarest.
This is a stunning copy of an incredibly rare pressing with a near perfect sleeve.

Media (Play Tested): EX. Clean labels, and sounds great with little surface noise, including in the quietest parts. There are very light surface marks on both sides, but none are feelable and do not impact playback. Even the spindle holes are clean with very little evidence of having been played. The mothers/stampers are as you would expect from this pressing.
Sleeve: EX Clean front and back and nice clean flip backs. The spine is very clean and is the correct Large Mono with the pinched spine (only available with this period) Slight creasing in places along with small pieces of light laminate lift. Has very little age discolouration but does have some wear on the opening and a small scuff near the catalogue number.
Inner Sleeve: EX. Original adverts inner sleeve has bright clear printing and is in great condition. Supplied with brand new anti-static sleeve.
