Description
The Beatles Please Please Me 5th type 2 Yellow & Black Mono Parlophone in Ex /NM Condition with the Ultra Rare Mid size Mono.
This is the 2nd variation of this particular pressing of the Please Please Me Lp. These had the (XEX.421) & Rec.First Pub. lines centered to the 1(&2), rather than inverted as per Type 1.
As can be seen in the pictures, looks pretty mint with just very light spindle damage to say that it has had at least a few plays, and a few very light needle marks that don't affect play.
The Mother Stampers are:1,2 RPT / 0,15 RPH and are correct for this Cover.
These were the very last of the 5th Presses that had "The Parlophone Co Ltd" around the rim, and the very last Please please me E J Day cover.
This is a must have for all label completists, and you would be hard pushed to find another copy.
The sleeves, only a handful were pressed by E J Day and some say it was only for pre-production or a sample, and some say it was a mistake. A lot of people don't even know it exists..
I sold my NM- one awhile ago for £1000 and that went in about an hour of being listed..
Inner is the last original Emitex type.
A valuable rare record in a lovely condition.
