The BEATLES ‘Please Please Me’ Mono PMC 1202
Matrices- Side 1: XEX 421-3 Side 2:XEX 422-2N
This copy of the iconic Beatles FIRST LP is the very rare 1982 mono reissue. Pressed in very small numbers. EMI went back to the traditional black and yellow Parlophone label and added ‘MONO’ to the labels.
The vinyl looks and sounds excellent, with some minor surface scratches and background noise only. The labels are very clean and clear.
The cover has two minor flaws. On the front, top right hand corner, evidence of a sticker removal has taken off a small area of photo. On the back somebody has written 5 pen marks (1) before 5 track titles. However both of these of fairly minor and it is still a very good cover.
The inner white bag is the original one EMI issued with this record (dated 9/81) with a ripped bottom seam and a few minor marks.
