Description

This is a copy of the 4th Stereo press of The Beatles Please Please Me album in Stereo on the Parlophone label, record number PCS 3042. I’m listing this as record only.
The matrix numbers are YEX 94-1 / YEX 95-1 and the stamper codes are GM on Side 1 and L on Side 2. The label has no “Sold in the UK…” text and has “The Parlophone Co.Ltd.” on the edge of the label.
I’ve played the record through and it still plays with a strong stereo sound. However, there are surface scratches on the record and a bit of spindle wear. I’ve tried to show a couple of the more noticeable scratches in the photos.
There is some crackle on the intro to I Saw Her Standing There, there’s unfortunately a jump/skip during Misery. There are some light crackles between songs and quieter sections. There’s also a louder pop on cueing to Love Me Do before song starts but it doesn’t really add the song. I’d probably say this it only fair/good condition only.
Unfortunately the record has lost its original stereo cover and only has a Mono cover in poor condition which is a filler copy only. (It does have an interesting original dealer stamp but that’s about it!)
I’m listing this for the record only but will include the cover too. The record does has a good quality Emitex inner sleeve.
I’ll mail the record in a thick cardboard mailer with inside protective water resistant plastic packaging marked with‘fragile’ packing tape.
This auction starts at only 99p with no reserve!
Thanks for looking at my auction. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you would like any additional photos of the record. Please have a look at my other auctions as I regularly list vinyl and vintage items. I’m trimming down my Beatles vinyl collection so will be listing more Beatles and Apple records in the next few weeks.
