1963 UK mono vinyl LP with 'The Parlophone Co' perimeter text and 'Recording First Published' credit, but without 'Sold In The UK' text. Front laminated E.J. Day flipback picture sleeve.

GRADING:

Cover - Excellent

Ernest J Day front laminated picture sleeve with large block 'mono' logo.

The front sleeve has retained it's crisp clean laminate and rich colours.

Angus McBean credit on front cover at bottom right.

There is a small arear of storage wear on the bottom seam at the right hand corner.

There is a slight thumb impression at the top of the sleeve entrance and generally a little handling wear at sleeve entrance.

The spine is completely undamged and clearly readable.

The rear flipbacks are undamaged with just a little dirt picked up along the edges.

There is a little discolouration picked up on the back sleeve.

Record - Excellent

Both the  labels and spindle holes are very clean. The labels have retained all there original colour and are not marked in any way.

There is no 'Sold in the UK' text across the centre of the label & the 'Recording First Published 1963' credit is present.

KT tax code is clearly visible.

The matrix numbers are XEX 421-1N and XEX 422-2N.

The stampers are GTA 5 and GNL.

The vinyl is clean and retains it's original shine. There are wispy storage hairlines under close inspection.

It plays cleanly with no pops or crackles. Very light occasional background noise.

Original Emitex inner sleeve is present. It has some light creasing and one small tear near the centre of one side.

Summary

This is the nicest copy of this album I've had. Both the sleeve and the vinyl are really in excellent condition. Please see all the photographs which should give you a good idea how nice it is. Please do contact me with any questions or for anymore photographs.

Our grading is based on the system used by Record Collector magazine as described below (We don't sell records with a grading of less than very good).

Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
