Description
The Beatles Please Please Me original first 500 release in black and gold by Parlophone You can verify this by checking out the I am the Platypus OZ Beatle website.
The vinyl is Good with a number of hairline marks but still plays really well. There are no skips or jumps or significant crackle. Just a nice clean loud mono sound.
The lable has a scratch on side 1 but otherwise ok. It is a first 500 lable.
The sleeve has seen better days but the dark photo indicates a genuine first 500 sleeve. There is conjecture amongst the experts as to whether the sleeve was printed in UK or Aust but Beatles expert Bruce Hamlin was of the opinion that while the lable style represents a first 500 print that the sleeves used were Aussie ones. This seems to go with the information of the first sleeves being darker as they were taken from a photograph.
I am only selling as I have upgraded to a better record and sleeve. With only 500 released these are hard to get in any condition
