The Beatles Please Please Me 1963 1st Press Black Gold Label MONO LP 2nd Variation.
Made in Gt. Britain
This is a 2nd variation of the Black and Gold label of the Beatles please please me album. Here the "Dick James Mus. Co" credit from the first variation has been altered to "Northern Songs" instead. These copies are rarer than the first variation.
The Record
The record is in great condition. There are a few scratches on both sides but none of them are too deep.
The Parlaphone label shows usual usage wear around the spindle hole.

The record plays absolutely brilliantly with no skips or sticks during tracks and just some light pops and clicks between tracks.
Remarkable considering the LP is now 60 years old!
Inner Sleeve
The Emitex Parlophone inner sleeve is in superb condition with no tears or slits.
Outer Sleeve
The glossy album laminated cover sleeve is complete, including all 3 flipback edges, with no splits across the seams and some usage wear to the corners. There is some fraying on the opening of the cover. It contains the correct positioning of the "Photo: Angus McBean" located on the far right of the front cover and it was made by Ernest J Day & Co . Ltd as shown on the back. These outer sleeves were only used to house 1st pressings. Free of handwriting and no use of sellotape.
