The Beatles Phil Spector Christmas Record Apple Records UK Near Mint+
This is one of the finest examples I have ever seen of this extremely rare Apple Record. I could easily say Mint condition but to play it safe, we’ll call it NM. This is one of the very few copies I have come across that have the original black plastic lined inner sleeve. The record is simply beautiful and the cover is NM as well. The album was issued on Apple Records in the United Kingdom on December 8, 1972.
Collector’s Note: Personally I am particularly fond of the British and German editions of all records from the 1970’s. The materials used to manufacture record sleeves in the United States, lacked in quality and were prone to scuffing and ink loss. During the latter part of the 1970’s and particularly during the 1980’s the vinyl record itself got thinner and the overall sound was terrible when compared to their European counterparts.
