The Beatles, Penny Lane / Strawberry Fields Forever PROMO 45 (USA, 1967), M--
Capitol P 5810, authentic Los Angeles pressing on light yellow-green label with RM11 having trumpet closing (instead of the intended RM14 heard on stock copies and worldwide), rush-released to radio stations in February 1967. Timing of 3:00 for Penny Lane [Spizer no. CAP 5810.DJ1]. Disc: M--: labels show no wear but for 3/4" x 1" wol and 1" sticker residue on SFF side; it also appears as if someone may have removed some mark on the PL side? (@ 7 o'clock; see very faintly lighter color in photos). Vinyl appears flawless, with full mirrorlike lustre, but for one faint superficial hairline on each side (@ 1 o'clock on PL side, 3 o'clock on SFF side; see photos). Runout markings: 45-45871-F-1: * / 45-45870-G-2. * [All is etched except for the machine-stamped star on each side; see photos.] Plain white sleeve.

Photos are always of actual item offered. All items are visually graded under a bright light by strict Goldmine standards. M- is my highest grade, and is applied to New Old Stock, as I had direct access to the contents of manufacturers' cartons from the mid-1970s onward. I have been a vinyl collector since 1964 and appreciate honest, conservative, and fair product descriptions. Smoke-free home.

Vinyl 45s are shipped separately from any picture sleeves or printed stock sleeves, and encased in protective polypropylene sleeves and extra recycled board.
All orders will be shipped within two to four business days of payment; please allow one to three weeks for domestic arrival.
In the unlikely event that an item needs to be returned, buyer must contact seller first; buyer pays return postage and any applicable sales, VAT, or GST taxes.
Seller reserves the right to cancel any orders with outstanding balances after seven calendar days if buyer is not in communication with seller.

On Jan-22-24 at 07:38:28 PST, seller added the following information:In the first "Penny Lane" photo, you may see a line on the vinyl at 7 o'clock. This is a small hair on the disc, not a scratch; you can see it hangs over the record's edge. And of course there is no mark in this place in the other photos.
