The Beatles PLEASE PLEASE ME mono PMC 1202
With small 33 1/3 on labels. MT tax coded. Early EJ Day cover.
Very RARE example of a transitional label from the old style Brown & Gold Parlophone label to the then new Black & Yellow label in 1963.
This one has a small 33 1/3 on each side of the label and is designated as the third pressing of this 1963 debut LP of The Beatles.
Side 1 XEX 421-1N (2 RR)
Side 2: XEX 422-1N (1 GT) with MT tax code embossed on this side.
Vinyl; VERY GOOD. Minor superficial surface scratches on each side. Still plays very well despite being over 50 years old with no skips or deep scratchy sounds.
This is a piece of heavyweight 1963 vinyl, made to last!
Labels have some spindle wear but not excessive.
The COVER is heavy, thicker card with the Angus McBean photo credit in the extreme bottom right corner. There is wear and cracks on the laminate, corner bumping and edge wear. The flipbacks qre 95% intact with a small piece missing.
On the back top edge. Obviously there has been some staining and discolouration over the years but it still rates as a VERY GOOD example.
Comes complete with an original 1963 EMITEX poly lined inner sleeve in excellent condition.
