HARD TO FIND SIXTH UK PRESSING, GRAMOPHONE RIM WITH SOLD IN UK… LABEL TEXT
This is a rare 1965 mono SIXTH PRESSING for The Beatles Debut UK Album ‘Please Please Me’.
The Vinyl LP is on the traditional Black & Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim and with ‘Sold in UK Subject to….’ label text.
Both record labels are in Near Mint condition, superb clean, undamaged and unfaded record labels, showing only a few light centre spindle lines.
The Official side 1 matrix is XEX 421-1N/Side XEX 422-2N.
Side 1 stampers are 5 RHH, and Side 2 stampers are: 5 RR.
Both sides of the heavyweight vinyl disc are in superb Near Mint condition, very clean glossy, undamaged well cared for vinyl surfaces, it is difficult to see even light surface hairlines.
The album plays with beautiful sound quality, from beginning to end.
The Use Emitex inner bag is an excellent example, tearing, or seam splits, just light creasing, and a name written on the bag.
The vinyl LP comes in it’s original Garrod and Lofthouse Patents Pending Please Please Me picture sleeve, with small **mono** printed on the top right corner of the front of the sleeve, this sleeve is in superb Excellent Plus condition. The front panel is clean and bright,with it’s original glossy shine, and with minimal record indentation.
The spine edge is very sharp and clean with undamaged wording, and is clearly legible.
The reverse panel of the sleeve is also very clean, showing only light handling signs to the opening edge, all three flip backs are undamaged.
This sixth Pressing MONO version of Please Please Me is one of the HARDER TO FIND UK Variants of The Beatles First album, and this example is in very nice condition too.
