Description
The Beatles Original NEMS Bag And Beatles Hits EP. On offer here is an original Nems record bag and The Beatles 1963 EP The Beatles' Hits. The original Nems record bag is intact with no splits to bottom or sides, it is quite clean given its age and purpose. There is creasing and the name Onedin written on one side of the bag please see photos for more details. These bags were given to customers at Brian Epstine' NEMS Record shop (North End Music Store) on Geart Charlotte Street Liverpool, a shop that was full of Beatle history as the band used to shop and there as unknowns and when later signed up by Brian Epstine they had many businesses meetings in his shop office, sadly no longer in existence. These record bags were a great idea as they would protect your sleeve till you got the record home and also they were a great advertisment for the shop. These record bags were often discarded and are now a very rare part of The Beatles history, but fortunately some remain here on Merseyside and pop up from time to time, this one also contains a very nice copy of The Beatles' Hits EP, the record is in excellent condition and so are the labels, the matrix runout numbers are side 1. 7TCE 760-2N and side 2. 7TCE 761-1N . This record has been play tested both sides for accurate grading on my quality Systemdek and it plays loud and clear. The sleeve is vg+ condition and is very clean with no splits to the side, top or bottom and no writing on it, but the sleeve does have some ring wear and slight creasing please see photos.
