Description
From 1985 comes this Beatles "Fan Club album" entitled "Nothing Is Real", NEMS Records BUD 280. Released in the U.K. and Ireland, "Side A" has a half dozen takes of "Strawberry Fields Forever", with an introductory track by George Martin. "Side 1" (yeah, cheeky) has three alternate takes of other songs along with one rehearsal session, one rare track and one of the Beatles Fan Club Christmas messages ("Christmas Time Is Here Again", which I believe was the 1967 message). The cover seems to be someone's idea of 'artistic' (but not mine ;-). The label is where I think the most fun is found: On "Side 1", there is an intricate coat-of-arms. Instead of the famous quote "Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense", it says "Honi Soit Qui Mal Evans", Mal Evans, of course, being a long time part of the Beatles posse. (It also says "Doit Onmo Nday".)
I'm happy to pass on this near mint copy in a near mint cover to another Beatles Fan - I'm old and it's time!
