In this auction are TWO 45RPM RECORDS and TWO PICTURE SLEEVES. One record and picture sleeve is a PROMOTIONAL ISSUE, and the other record and picture sleeve is a COMMERCIAL ISSUE.

Here are the details:

RECORD & PICTURE SLEEVE #1 (PROMOTIONAL ISSUE):

·       “MOVIE MEDLEY”  b/w “FAB FOUR ON FILM (THE BEATLES talk about A HARD DAY’s NIGHT - 1964 ” by The Beatles

·       This is Capitol Records PB-5100.

·       This is a PROMOTIONAL SINGLE with both the A-side and B-side in STEREO.

·       As you may know, 45 RPM PROMO RECORDS were pressed in very limited quantities and released by record companies ONLY to the radio stations and DJs for airplay to promote the artist and/or new song/LP. They were not released or made available for sale to the general public.

·       The labels have “NOT FOR SALE” printed on them.

·       This record and picture sleeve were issued in February of 1982.

·       This record was issued to promote The Beatles’ “Reel Music” LP that was released in March of 1982. 

·       The A-side is a medley of songs from Beatles movies. (Please refer to the rear of the picture sleeve for the list of songs in this medley.)

·       The B-side of this promotional record is entitled “THE BEATLES Talk About A Hard Day’s Night – 1964” and contains an interview about the Beatles’ first film

·       This 45 RPM single and picture sleeve were withdrawn from commercial release, but these promotional copies were distributed to radio stations/DJs. The replacement single for Capitol B - 5100 was released with “I’m Happy Just To Dance With You” replacing the interview on the B-side. 

·       The VINYL is in NEAR MINT CONDITION.

·       As you can see, this record has CUSTOM LABELS.

·       This promo record comes with the PICTURE SLEEVE (B-5100) that looks similar to the “Reel Music” LP cover). It is in NEAR MINT CONDITION. There is a slight discoloration along one edge of the sleeve that is a manufacturing defect.

RECORD & PICTURE SLEEVE #2 (COMMERCIAL ISSUE):

·       “MOVIE MEDLEY”  b/w “I’M HAPPY JUST TO DANCE WITH YOU” by The Beatles

·       This is Capitol Records B-5107.

·       This is a COMMERCIAL SINGLE with both the A-side and B-side in STEREO.

·       This record and picture sleeve were issued March 22, 1982.

·       This record was issued to promote The Beatles’ “Reel Music” LP that was released in March of 1982. 

·       The A-side is a medley of songs from Beatles motion pictures. (Please refer to the rear of the picture sleeve for the list of songs in this medley.)

·       The B-side of this record is entitled “I’M HAPPY JUST TO DANCE WITH YOU”.  

·       The original promotional issue of this 45 RPM single and picture sleeve were distributed to radio stations/DJs, but it was withdrawn for commercial release. The replacement single and picture sleeve for Capitol B - 5100 was commercially released as Capitol B – 5107 with “I’m Happy Just To Dance With You” REPLACING “FAB FOUR ON FILM (THE BEATLES Talk About A Hard Day’s Night – 1964”, an interview about the Beatles’ first film on the B-side.
