MADE IN CONGO!

I didn't find any reference to this record in books or on the Internet. I found reference to three other singles 'made in Congo', but they were released on His Masters Voice: "All you need is love", "Dizzy Miss Lizzy" and "I am the Walrus".

Comes in a Belgian "n.v. Gramophone" label sleeve (Congo was a Belgian colony).

Condition

The "Drive My Car" side looks perfect, but a few grooves are deeper than the others. I don't hear anything special when the needle passes these grooves. The sound quality is not great; I guess this is because the manufacturing quality in the Congo of the sixties was not so good.

The sound quality of the "Michelle" - side is poor. There is one diagonal surface scratch and a few grooves seem to be deeper than the others, but I don't think this is the reason for the poor sound quality. But I guess you record collectors don't buy an unique record like this for the sound quality.

The Gramophone label sleeve has some tape marks and a few small cracks.
