In this auction:

• “MEET THE BEATLES” LP by the Beatles

• This LP is Capitol Records T 2047.

• This is an EARLY MONO (Monaural) PRESSING.

• It was issued January 20, 1964.

• This MONAURAL PRESSING has the SECOND LABEL VARIATION which credits all songs to ASCAP except for “I Want To Hold Your Hand” which is credited to BMI. (NOTE: The first label variation has NO ASCAP or BMI credits at all and has become quite uncommon and costly.)

• The COVER is in NICE VG+ CONDITION with light overall wear including a “C” stamped on the rear cover at top right and a very small water droplet stain near the lower right corner also on the rear cover. The rear cover has some aging/foxing. There are 2 very small corner pushes. This dark front cover slick was prone to easily show wear, but this one has very minimal wear as you can see in the images. “BEATLES” on the front cover is DARK BROWN in color.

• This COVER has the NUMBER “3” printed on the rear cover at lower right. This indicates that this LP came from Capitol Record’s Scranton pressing plant.

• The VINYL has a triangle “?” containing the letters IAM in the trail-off. This is the pressing mark for Capitol’s Scranton pressing plant.

• THEREFORE, this Scranton COVER contains the CORRECT Scranton vinyl pressing.

• The VINYL is in NICE VG CONDITION with a number of very light surface hairlines/scuffs (none of which are “feelable”). The vinyl has LOTS OF GLOSS.

• This LP comes with a BLUE CAPITOL RECORDS INNER PAPER SLEEVE, that I believe is the correct inner sleeve that was issued with this LP.

  A NICE EARLY MONO COPY of this CAPITOL RECORDS BEATLES LP to add to your vinyl collection.
