This is a good copy of the classic Beatles mini-album "Magical Mystery Tour" which linked with the film of the same name where the Beatles honed their sound as they continued to experiment with new instruments and moved towards psychedelia. The vinyl has surface marks which lead to crackle and static between tracks and can be heard throughout, although it does not over-power the excellent mono sound of the tracks. There are no scratches at all affecting the vinyl and there is not skips or repeats on any of the four sides. I would have graded the vinyl as VG if it was not for the background crackle. The sleeve is also in good condition although there is a water stain at the bottom of the pages of the book as can be seen in the photos, and the lower staple has rusted as a result, although the booklet, pictures, story and blue lyric sheets are all firmly in place and look good. This is the First pressing as described on the Yokono and The Beatles Collection websites.
I am a collector of 1960's and Punk records and all the albums have been regularly cleaned and played on a Pioneer PL 12D, Ekco 1960's Mono turntable and Rega turntable using both elliptical and spherical styli so that I can give you an honest evaluation of sound quality and not just a visual inspection. This ep sounds brilliant on the Ekco mono turntable which the record was made for, and the static/crackle is barely audible. On the modern turntables the crackle is clearer, although it does not overpower the music. I value the records I sell appropriately and so can be a little higher than others, but you can buy with confidence that the record will be as described with no hidden jumps, clicks and repeats when you put it on your turntable. Postage price reflects insurance for full price of album.
