Description

I am selling more BEATLES VINYL (duplicates) from my collection. So, please check my other auctions.

In this auction are 1 original Tollie Picture Sleeve and 1 original Tollie Records 45 RPM record.

Here are the details:

·       “LOVE ME DO” b/w “P.S. I LOVE YOU” by The Beatles

·       This is TOLLIE RECORDS T-9008.

·       This record was issued in 1964.

·       The Picture Sleeve for Tollie Records T-9008 was issued April 27, 1964.

·       This is an EARLY PRE-CAPITOL RECORDS PICTURE SLEEVE.

·       This picture sleeve has become especially popular and desirable, because the drawing on this sleeve was later used on the VERY RARE ORIGINAL “PORTRAIT COVER” prepared for the later issue of “The Beatles And Frank Ifeld On Stage” Vee Jay LP (Vee Jay 1085 LP).

·       The PICTURE SLEEVE is in VG CONDITION. It looks like some silverfish took some bites out of the top edges (at the opening) of the sleeve. It also appears that a partial-seam split on the bottom edge and one on one of the side edges was repaired by someone who also touched up with some blue-colored paint. This is on one side of the sleeve only. There is a small top corner crease on one side of the sleeve.  There is light/slight wear in the center-area of both sides of the sleeve which is just a slight hint of ring wear (light partial ring wear). There is some light disc impression. The sleeve still has good color. Due to its dark colors, this sleeve was prone to easily show wear. It’s REALLY a tough sleeve to find without heavy or very noticeable ring wear.

·       The VINYL is NEAR MINT MINUS CONDITION with just a few slight surface hairlines/scuffs. This Tollie pressing has yellow labels with “tollie” and “RECORDS” in black print in a box with open corners. There is a “98” stamped in red ink mostly in the trail-off of the “Love Me Do” side. (I assume this was the price at one time.) Part of the “9” is in the last few revolutions of the track, but it does not affect play. This Tollie pressing has yellow labels with “tollie” and “RECORDS” in black print in a box with open corners.

An EARLY BEATLES PICTURE SLEEVE & RECORD that are becoming increasingly hard-to-find these days in decent condition!
