Description
For sale is a rare copy of the Beatles first single Love me do with the B side P.S. I love you.
This copy is on the Red label and has the made in great britain silver writing
The matrix numbers are side 1: 7XCE 17144 - 1N side 2: 7XCE 17145 - 1N
The record also bears the ZT tax code
Mother stampers are 1/GH and 1G/T these are etched into the run out groove.
Vinyl is in VG++ condition. Side one - under light the vinyl is clean and crisp and retains a glossy finish there is some light wear but this is just from where the record has been removed from its sleeve. Side 2 - the vinyl is clean and glossy. there are a few very minor and very small marks and some surface wear. on my record the player the record plays very well with some hardly noticeable background noise which diminishes when the song starts and is very faint after. The record plays nicely and is extremely good for a record which is 50 years old.
The labels are vg. Side one - the label is clean and intact with no tears or scuffs. there is some spindle wear but this has little effect on the label. Side 2 - the label is again clean and intact no tears or scuffs. there is some light marking to the rigth of the title but is very light and has no effect. There again is spindle wear which doesnt effect the label.
Overall a great copy of an unusual item
