The Beatles

Let it Be

Let It Be is the 12th and final studio album released by the English rock band The Beatles. It was released on 8 May 1970 by the band's Apple Records label shortly after the group announced their break-up. Most of Let It Be was recorded in January 1969, before the recording and release of the album Abbey Road. For this reason, some critics and fans, such as Mark Lewisohn, argue that Abbey Road should be considered the group's final album and Let It Be the penultimate. Let It Be was originally intended to be released before Abbey Road during mid-1969 as Get Back, but The Beatles were unhappy with this version, which was mixed and compiled by Glyn Johns, and it was temporarily shelved. A new version of the album was created by Phil Spector in 1970 and finally released as Let It Be, serving as the album for the 1970 motion picture of the same name. While three songs from the sessions were released as singles before the album's release, "Get Back"/"Don't Let Me Down" and "Let It Be", the songs were remixed by Spector for the album and "Don't Let Me Down" was not included.

Very Good ++ (VG++) = Disc plays near perfectly, but may have minor paper scuffs that do not interfere with the sound quality. There can possibly be a hairline scratch or two but nothing that is obvious or affects play. Album Cover = Minor disc impression or slight corner creases, no wrinkles, puckers, seam splits or writing on the cover. Artwork is clean and unworn and there is no ink wear.

Very Good Plus (VG+) = Some visible surface wear, very minor scratches and scuffs, but minimal impact on the sound quality. Vinyl will still have good luster; labels may have minor imperfections (small labels or initials, etc.) but otherwise clean. Album Cover = clean but may have minor writing or marks and may show slight wear. There may be just the start of ring wear, where the disc has created a raised area on the cover that resulted in the ink wearing off the paper. There may be slight discoloration or staining, minor seam wear, but no splits or tears. Corners may have small creases or fraying.

Very Good (VG) = Vinyl surface will show wear, including surface scuffs and scratches. Surface noise is noticeable, and there may be a few clicks or pops during soft passages. On loud rock albums surface noise is mostly apparent between tracks. However, the record is still very listenable. The cover may have creases, have record store cut corners or a punched hole and may have noticeable ring wear and spine wear, but it will still have most of its original gloss. Cover may have minor writing, stains, or age related yellowing, and white covers especially begin to show more scuffing and yellowing with age than darker covers in this grade.  There will be no seam splits longer than 1”.

Good (G) = Vinyl surface has general scuffing and scratching all over.  Surface noise is very apparent between tracks. There will be repetitive clicks or pops. There may be backward & forward skips. The album will still be listenable and enjoyable in a party setting, but not when listening critically in a quiet room. Records with many quiet music passages will not be enjoyable in these grades. Covers will vary in quality and may have prominent seam splits (that are taped over or not), scuffing, and ring wear, with only some of the original gloss left.  There may be staining, water damage, tearing and writing on the cover.

LP will be sent in a Sturdy Container with FRAGILE & DO NOT BEND stamped in Red on box.
