Description
The Beatles Let It Be Album from 1970, a strange Spector mastered classic! This is the rare UK export only all analogue stereo pressing from 1978 on WHITE VINYL. Cut by Harry Moss at Abbey Road Studios.This copy is in near mint condition throughout. I have played it and it sounds superb. Is it rare? Well hardly unobtainable but check out the listings on ebay and see how many there are, let alone in this condition. There are a number of coloured vinyl Beatles albums out there but this is the real deal - 1978 UK EMI pressing. For the record there were 4 titles issued in 1978 for export by EMI - The White Album on (you guessed it) white vinyl, Let It Be (also on white), Magical Mystery Tour (on Yellow) and Abbey Road (on green). In the same year both Red and Blue albums were released in their respective colours but these were not export only and are more widely available.
Details - Spine says Apple Records PCS 7096 Dead wax reads: YEX-773 PCS 7096 SIDE 1 HTM/YEX-774 PCS7096 SIDE 2. Difficult to give a visual assessment of condition of white vinyl but both sides are near perfect. More importantly they play near mint. Labels are near mint. This record has been played only a handful of times at most. Single slip cover is also Excellent+, couple of tiny lifts to the laminate at the edges and that's all. Close up photo seems to magnify some light scuffing. It is there sure but in the flesh is hardly noticeable. You will not be disappointed in this cover. Spine is strong and square with crystal clear writing.
These special UK editions for export only from 1978 came with plain white die cut inners. This one is in truly excellent shape.
This really is a reasonably rare and beautiful Beatles record to add to your collection!
