Description

The Beatles- Let It Be UK 1st Pressing 12” LP Vinyl Box Set + Book (1970).

The 12th and final studio album by The Beatles. Released on 8 May 1970, almost a month after the group's public break-up and coinciding with the motion picture of the same name. The album topped the charts in the UK and US and came to be regarded as one of the most controversial rock albums in history.

In most countries except the US, the LP was originally presented in a box with a full colour book. The book contained photos by Ethan Russell and dialogue from the January 1969 filming. Despite the new album title, the book was still titled Get Back! It was deleted by December 1970 and replaced with a normal LP format without the book.

Spine & both labels catalogue number- PCS 7096

Record in EX- overall perfectly in keeping with the rest of the package, still has great luster with very little signs of play, some visible hairlines and light surface marks (although Side 1 could be graded NM), majority of these marks are cosmetic although a certain level of surface noise may be audible at times particularly at quieter moments but still sounds superb, no skips or jumps during playback, no deep scratches, labels are clean with no spindle marks or wear around the centre hole.

Outer Sleeve in EX- artwork is clean and close to perfect with hardly any wear, laminate creasing kept to a minimum and tight, spine remains sturdy, uncrushed and all text clear and legible, colours are still bright with a strong sheen still visible.

Inner Sleeve in EX condition- unsplit at the seams and openings with no creasing, some minor age-related discolouration only.

Outer Slipcase in EX condition- shows just a little edge and corner scuffing/storage-wear but nothing excessive, a few very light creases in the laminate.

Inner Tray in VGC+- some edge and corner scuffs, minor creasing to one of the tuck-in flaps but no major splits and remains intact, it has survived very well even though it was delicately made in the first place and is often the weakest component of the lot!

Book in EX/NM condition- no signs of ageing, wear or creasing to the cover other than some light creases in the laminate, no defacing inside with all pages attached and sits well in the recess.

This is an excellent example of a rare and highly collectible one owner copy, fully intact and when altogether, the packaging looks superb & stands proud. These rarely appear much better, making for a fantastic collector's piece at a competitive price!
