The Beatles 'Let It Be'. Incredibly rare original 1970 UK 1st pressing 12-track LP box set also including the 160-page softback photo book 'The Beatles Get Back', packed with colour/B&W photos & text from the film, which was never sold separately, all housed in a superb laminated outer Garrod & Lofthouse picture slipcase box with 'Patents Pending' lettering.

UK First press. The record and sleeve are immaculate, (with red apple logo at the rear). The included book is also in Excellent condition. The outer box has some wear, common with this set, but is holding together well with no significant tears or damage. The inner card packaging is included and in good condition too. See pics. All items are the genuine originals bought together as a box set in 1970 (not the reprints often supplied to make up the box set). The LP contained in the box is the original issue 12-track LP on the dark green Apple label.
A fantastic time warp copy of this rarity in amazing condition, a true investment grade item - get it while you can!

In the U.K. the Let It Be album was first issued as a Box Set ONLY - six months BEFORE being released as a single album with a catalogue number of PXS1, although this number does NOT appear on the package anywhere. The box set contained the L.P. plus a paperback book called "The Beatles Get Back", which contained stills and dialogue from the film (some of it unused in the final print). The paperback is large and glossy at 11 inches by 8 and a half with 164 pages (inc. covers), but is quite delicate and is prone to fall apart if one is not careful (this one is in excellent condition).
The photographs are by Ethan A. Russell, and the text is by Jonathan Cott and David Dalton.
The book is NOT available separately, and the box set is no longer available, making it quite collectable and currently worth about £200 on its own.
