Item Description & Condition:
Released by Parlophone, UK on 5th October 1962 - this First Issue vinyl 45 is on the distinctive RED Parlophone Label with Silver Printed text, with ‘The Parlophone Co Ltd....’ label rim and With ‘Recording First Published 1962’, With ‘Ardmore & Beechwood Ltd’ publishing credits. There are two versions of this first issue Parlophone single, one version has Made in Gt Britain label text, this version is **WITHOUT** the ‘Made In Gt. Britain’ label text on both record labels.
Both record labels are in undamaged Near Mint condition, super clean and bright labels, there is no fading to the Red background and no fading to the clear Silver Printed Text, there are just a couple of play signs to the centre of each record labels.
Side 1stamped matrix is: 7XCE 17144-1N and Side 2: 7XCE-17145-1N.
Side 1 stampers: MPZT 1 GP and Side 2: PZT 1 GR the embossed Tax Code letters M T are visible on the centre of the side 2 record label.
Both sides of the Vinyl Single are in immaculate Near Mint condition, both sides of the single are super clean with only a couple of light hairlines, ther are absolutely no scratches or scuffs to either side.
Play Quality:
As expected both sides of this beautiful vinyl disc play with a fresh, clear sound quality throughout both tracks, without skips, clicks or pops and with none of the usual background noise the disc plays as good as it looks.
The Vinyl 45 comes in its original coloured Parlophone Company Sleeve, which is in very nice Excellent condition, showing just light creasing, there are NO seam splits or tears, the catalogue number 4949 is written in the box at the top of the sleeve.
A beautiful example (with stunningly clean vinyl surfaces) of this UK Beatles Debut single, now in it’s 53rd year since it’s first release back in 1962.
